Erika Johnson has been committed to Development at Diablo Ballet ever since she began grant writing while dancing with the Company. Previously, Ms. Johnson performed with the Houston Ballet, where she was featured in works by Ben Stevenson, James Kudelka, and Trey McIntyre. She was chosen by Christopher Bruce for his film, Journey, and performed the Rum and Coca-Cola solo in Paul Taylor’s world premiere of Company B at the Kennedy Center. At Diablo Ballet, she danced in original works by KT Nelson and Christopher Stowell. She has performed for Post:Ballet, Sonya Delwaide, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, and the San Francisco Ballet, reprising her role in Bruce’s Sergeant Early’s Dream. Ms. Johnson holds a B.A. from Saint Mary’s College, and she earned her Registered Nurse license in 2007. Ms. Johnson's twelve years as a dancer with Diablo Ballet give her a unique perspective into the Company.
